Trai telecom companies for not providing a sufficient number of points in Reliance jione complete interconnect (PoI) recommended fined Rs 3,500 crore. TRAI has rejected demands to reconsider the issue. Bharti Airtel, the telecom department to rethink sought to fine Vodafone and India Cellular.

Department of Telecommunications (DoT did not) who knowingly broke the rules in response to the regulator said Bharti, Vodafone and Idea and allocated PoI to stop the contest. In fact, their licenses were revoked due to underfunded.

Airtel said, we do not agree with TRAI’s recommendations on the basis of observation and believe that the incorrect assessment of the situation. The PoI is licensed to be given within 90 days, but we were provided exceptional speed PoI.
